Finally made it to Wired on Welton this weekend. Wired on Welton is in the Five Points area, and I have nothing but great things to say about it! Because of the decor and atmosphere, this one ranks near the top as far as Denver coffee shops go. (The coffee is great too!)

On Welton street, just across from a light rail station, Wired on Welton is located in an old renovated home with beautiful woodwork and creative decorative touches everywhere.

The fireplace and staircase are both examples of incredible crafstmanship in this old home. Augmenting the historical features of this location are the great decorative touches including a table decorated with the Wired logo using only coffee beans, with a glass top, several tables decorated using decoupage, a computer room, games, a cozy upstairs loft area, and a feel that is very warm and welcoming.

The owners have obviously put a lot of time and effort into turning this old house into a great city coffee shop, and it has really paid off with a wonderful environment and atmosphere.

WOW!! That looks really great. I'm excited to see that five points is really turning around. Used to have quite the bad rep.

Seems like you rate coffee shops more for their wireless access than their coffee and atmosphere. I miss the times when people went to coffee shops to read and have a good cup of joe...not get online or on their cell. Reads too much like just a guide to local coffee shops, not real reviews.

This place is awsome! I felt like I was walking into my own living room! The coffee's excellent, the staff friendly - I could hang out here all day.

great place w/lotta potential; would be nice to hang here late at nite sometime. alas, it recently pulled its closing time back to 9pm, from 10pm- and it sounded like they'll pull it back yet again soon. ironic, cuz when i was there ( http://forums.sirstevesguide.com/showpost.php?p=445640&postcount=624 ) business started pickin up just as closing time approached :\

Just got back from "Wired on Welton" and was impressed. A home-y type atmosphere, friendly service, free wireless, good coffee, they kept the music at a nice audible volume, not blaring.

Just a really pleasant experience! I'll go back!

Amazing space, note on door said it will be closing at 5pm now. Coffee (at least my iced latte was awful!!) She put warm milk in it which melted the ice right away trying to put foam on it (not my request)and the shots were burnt. Could see where internet folk would love it and great upstairs atticlike room. But my guess is not enough traffic to keep them open longer. But got some great paint ideas for my house. Food was okay, nothing compared to close by Monkey bean...but at least at Wired you can get a seat.

Dear Creon Styx,
If there was a way to convince you to stay I would say it here! I just found your cute little coffee house & there is not one place around that beats your decor and comfy, homey feel. I've been looking for a coffee place that has a bit of everything and that is your place!! The comfy couches, the great decorating and art ideas, your tables are big enough for someone to do work and the coffee was delicious. I am so sorry to see you go. Wouldn't you reconsider? With all the coffee houses out there, none of them really stand out except yours.
