Cafe Metro is OK. They have a variety of light lunch items such as sandwiches and salads. The last time I was there, they also had gelato, which was all right - not the best gelato I've ever had. Seating is plenty, both indoor and outdoor.
Yeah, I have about the same amount of enthusiasm for Cafe Metro as Katie there does. I went once or twice, one time I couldn't pay because they don't take money cards... they gave me my coffee free, which was a good Karma-call, but still, who doesn't take money cards?!
What is a money card, anyway?
With the lackluster reviews here Its no surprise to me that they have closed the doors forever. Sign on the door says May 5th was it.
I would suspect it was a combonation of thier choice of roaster and lack of identity. Were they a coffee bar or a deli?
Let us all take a moment of silence to mourn the death of another mediocre indenpendent coffee bar gone bust....
it seems to me that they have been revived. i have not yet been in but seen the open sign there.
