The Market is far more than a coffeehouse, with a deli, restaurant, and catering services. I have been meaning to add it to the Mile High Buzz for quite some time, as it is somewhat of a landmark downtown.
According to the website, it is Denver's first espresso bar: "The Market was the first espresso bar between New York and Los Angeles, eighteen years before it became trendy to open a coffee house on every corner and several years before the fashionable Starbucks chain."
Inside, the Market is bigger than it would appear from the blue awnings out front. The deli are goes far back with dozens of tables going around the food service area. They serve Lavazza coffee (or is it Allegro?? see comment below. I'm not sure. May have gotten that wrong). By all accounts, the food is supposed to be great, and there is certainly quite the selection.
There is free WiFi, by the way. Here are some reviews posted to citysearch.

The Market's a classic... love how they hold their own against the Morebucks across the street. They're one of the last reasons for a local to head to the tourist trap that is Larimer Square.
Don't they use Allegro, though? Wouldn't be unheard of for them to have changed since the last time I was there, I guess.
LOVE The Market. Unique vibe, great people-watching spot. Ample seating, although it can get crowded during lunch time, as it is definitely more than a coffee house. Check out the giant display of cakes or the pastries up front. I haven't tried the coffee, but the espresso is really good.

Best decaf iced coffee- they use the toddy method. Don't find many places that do that and do it for decaf!
This is a bit off the coffee topic, but the market has some of the best chai tea i've ever had.
The Market is AWESOME!!
This is a close to a Singles Bar as you can get! I go to the Market every Sunday Morning. Total People watching place.
Now, let me tell you about Saturday Nights in the Summer. If you ride, this is the place to show off that new Harley. Show up around 10:00 P.M. Everyone parks right in front, Honda's park across the street! Its a zoo at the Market, but it sure is fun too!

-actually one of the few things i Don't like about the patios of Market (or Paris) is their sad plaguing by herds of bankers-by-day/bikers-by-night poseurs who revv engines attempting to compensate for (but of course just advertising) their round-the-clock shortcomings; every time i hear "vroom, vrrrooOOOOOOOOOOOOM" i think "yeah i Know, your dicks are Tiny, we Get it!" :p
The Market: a truly remarkable experience that is unique to any other coffee house, and a must for the coffee drinker that likes a cafe with lots of eye-opening menu choices in the deli cases! The coffee is really good quality, and tasty! The location on Larimer Street puts you in the middle of the Larimer square buzz, it's packed at lunch because it's so popular, (I didn't know about the free wifi) and it's a good place for auraria students to get together.
The minuses are that the tables are too small and too close together (which can't be helped), If you don't like strictly self-service, this place doesn't wait on people, some of the deli folks have pretty shoddy English (not as bad as the India-muddled garbled English you get from HP's tech support) and 1 out of 5 occasions, a deli sandwich that I bought tasted pretty bad (I took out the dumpster analogy here). All stated here is just my opinion!
Oh so cruel, but it's rare I suppose that you get bad food there. The dessert array is the best I have seen of anywhere in Denver, and the taste of the desserts is as good as it looks. You might want to ask the staff what is in any of the unusual looking pastries before you order it, but all in all, the Market is a place I would recommend for most folks for a good downtown experience, or a different from the usual kind of place for lunch!

comin from a big city im not usually impressed by denver cafes or markets but this place was awesome it gave me the whole east coast vibe.
the barista was very knowledgable in the trait and made me the best chai. it wasnt that usual american -sweet sugared down fake chai. it was a delicious spicy indian chai with a kick_supposidly house made_
overall one of the best spots ive been in denver!

i wrote a good comment on here about this place but my 3rd visit there was so disturbing i refuse to ever go back.
the rude barista that couldnt make a drink to save his life needs to get a brain and realize that you can not give a customer a drink that is 190 degrees- "it suppose to be hot" he said lol
and the deli needs to realize they shouldnt make food without gloves its against health code!
and next time they ring somebody at the register not to press down on my sandwich as they ring somebody up lol
