Mile High Coffee | Englewood

Mile High Coffee
871 Englewood Parkway,
Englewood, CO

Located in Englewood, Mile High Coffee is in a nice 'town center' area. They have plenty of seating (and were quite busy when I stopped in) and a patio outside.

They do have free WiFi, so I hung out for a while. From what I can tell, this is one of the only local coffeehouses in the Englewood area, and it looks like it is supported by the residents there.

They serve Kaladi Brothers coffee, which has been noted by a lot of people on this blog as one of the best local roasters. I didn't catch the hours... can someone who goes there post them here?

This place is closer to me (physically) than any other I've written about. I'm sort of indifferent to the atmosphere, but the coffee's great, and the baristas have the skills.

I really like the sunshine at Mile High and the spacious seating area. I used to work at Kaladi in Denver, and the baristas at Mile High are trained by the Kaladi folks, along with buying the Kaladi beans; furthermore, MH has a very similar machine to Kaladi's: a customized Marzocco 4-head semi-automatic. Overall, even recognizing my bias, MH is a great local coffee shop for the Englewood area, with nice staff, great coffee, and a nice atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Mile High is a great asset to the Englewood ( Cinderella City ) area.
It leans closer to a CoffeeSHOP than CoffeeHouse. Its lacking a sofa or Community Table. I would also like to see a Refill Policy for Coffee. I still recommend this place, Coffee is fine & always can find a paper in the afternoon & thats important to me.

Mile Hi Coffee

This is the closest coffee joint to my home, great atmosphere, friendly service but very VERY weakly brewed coffee. I've dumped the last two cups of brew, I'd rather have water.

Hey just left Mile High Coffee and their hours are: M-F 5:40am to 9:00pm
Sat 6:30am to 10:00pm Sun 7:30am to 7:00pm. I had a cup of coffee and found it to be great, no burnt or after taste. Would have enjoyed it a little hotter. Oh and there is a leather couch and a coffee table in the back of the coffee shop. I will totally be back to try more of their drinks.

I've been here. I came on a Friday night with my little brother's class. An improv-comedy group was performing for them. I guess they have improv every friday. we went back that saturday for open mic. The comedy was pretty cool and the music was... shall we say eclectic....
I had a drink called The Mint, a peppermint mocha. it was good. my brother likes sweet drinks so he asked what the sweetest one was. He got what they call the Avalanche, a caramel white chocolate mocha. (way too sweet for me). overall good atmosphere and friendly people.

I visited Mile High when I was in town last week. They made my drink (raspberry white mocha breve) almost perfectly. The best I've had in a long time!

I've had lots of coffee all over the US, and Mile High (Kaladi Bros) has the best espresso I've ever tasted. I always order an Americano, and am never disappointed. Love the fact that this is a family owned store, too. I drive 8 miles out of my way on the weekend just to have an Americano here. Highly recommend it!

I'm not even a coffee drinker and I LOVE the place! The italian sodas are excellent. The employees are great. And the entertainment kicks arse!

Great coffee and nice seating area. Some of the drinks are drinkable desserts rather than a purist's idea of an espresso drink, but nice to see they're having fun with it. They sell Dagoba organic chocolate in several flavors ... my favorite chocolate in the world (and I've been around).

What happened to this place?

I am a fall through Spring regular. I go to my island getaway for the summer.

I returned this week (mid september) to find my favorite coffee bar with my favorite people and espresso has changed.

The barista tells me the main owners have left to persue other interests while the long distance partners are running the show.

I don't know about this. The place feels sterile, my americano is not the same -- did they change the coffee?-- I see one familiar face.
The baristas behind the counter are unfamilliar and seem unhappy. I didn't see any of the smiles I'm used to.
I hope it gets better... Maybe I'll just find another place to go.
