Cafe Caliente

Cafe Caliente
3701 W 32nd Ave, Denver, CO
(303) 433-2500
Cafe Caliente is an old house located in the booming Highlands neighorhood. There is a spacious patio outside and different rooms to sit inside.
They serve Lavazza Coffee, and a variety of sandwiches and paninis. They also serve wine.
The decor of the house is warm, and they have done a nice job of converting this old house into a nice coffeehouse.

Cafe CAliente is a nice shop, free wifi, as most shops have. The coffee is good, Lavazza, and it has been hot every time I get a cup. The sandwitches are BIG, more than worth the cost. Staf is friendly and helpful. And for people who need to study, I find there is usually an open table in the back room, and they have a copier for you to use.

I stopped by Cafe Caliente today and stood at the counter with my 3 year old daughter for 5 minutes without any acknowledgement. There were 5, yes FIVE, people behind the counter. Not one said hello. A couple looked up, but said nothing. So, my daughter and I went down the street to Common Grounds where the staff is ultra friendly. Cafe Caliente will never get my business. I'll stick with Common Grounds and Kaladi!

This place was great when it opened. The owner was friendly and made good coffee. Last few times I went there, the owner was nowhere to be seen and the coffee made by the employees was weak and unpleasant. Also, I noticed that they charge almost $1 more for an Americano than espresso with same # of shots. So extra $1 for water. I've decided not to ever go back.
