Stapleton now has a new independent coffeehouse. As indicated by the name, SouthEnders is on the South side of Stapleton, on Central Park Blvd (Yosemite).
SouthEnders has a nice open feel, with plenty of tables, a fireplace, couches, and a great kid's section with soft rubber flooring, coloring books, kids seating and a chalkboard.
Be sure to check it out and post your reviews below.

Soft rubber floors for kids, awesome! Want to meet up there this weekend?
Free wifi works great, especially while the kiddos are coloring in the kids' area. Coffee is terrific. This much-anticipated spot is gearing up to be a hang out for all types in the neighborhood from mommy groups to business folks to music lovers. Try it out!!
Southenders seems to be an artwork in progress! Their espresso is sooo smooth and I love that they've chosen not to carry artificial sweetners- a bold move- yet hooray for putting the TRUTH out there. Actually- I think all of their food is all-natural, no preservatives, and OMG the egg burrito...Stapleton is a healthier, happier, yummyER place- now that Southenders is OPEN! Loved It!!!
Wow! Stopped by there this weekend and their coffee is dynamite! Love the rubber floors for the kiddos, too. What a cute idea!
Employees were pretty sleepy on the Sunday morning I swung by. Milk in my latte was pretty decent, but the espresso was very, very weak. I'll give them another chance as it's right by the dog park, but the drinks need to improve!
My little pastry was delicious, by the way.
Also, unless I'm not recalling things correctly, did I see purple uniforms? One, uniforms at a coffee shop has always seemed ridiculous to me. Two, if uniforms are used, don't make them purple.
I stopped by this past week to check out Southenders for the first time.
To me, the shop felt a little cramped inside, and it was a nightmare to find parking in the AM while fighting all of the regular Stapleton traffic. One of the owners was less than friendly too, so that was a bit of a turnoff.
The coffee was good, but again, for the above reasons, I most likely won't be going back.
There is a new coffee shop opening up across the street called Perk and Play (across from the Bladium) 2373 Central Park Boulevard. I sure hope they don't run each other out of business. :(
I guess Southenders is going for more of an evening entertainment spot once they get their liquor license.
I happen to be the owner of Perk and Play. Just wanted to let everyone know that when I signed my contract Southenders was not sure when and if they were going to open.
Perk and Play is really kid focused and yes I hope we don't run eachother out of business.
From the latest article I read, multiple coffee shops in the same area actually works to increase overall traffic. Maybe we will both work together to bring awareness to the South end for coffee. :)
my 1.5 year old sat at the player piano and "played" forever! He had a blast. We'll definitely be back soon.
I wish you would get sugar free syrup for my Latte. I would gladly leave Starbucks and make you my regular daily habit instead.
